Default head casting number question

Are LS1 and LS6 heads the same except for different valve springs? Do they have the same casting numbers? What is that number.

243 are the LS6. Here's a link to some good flow info - probably a little dated tho.

I think I have some info on how to change casting numbers and not have them detected by the tech ppl.

Must have been one of those NASCAR " HOW to cheat legaly" papers.
