David just take to Viper days. They let it run with the top up.

Who cares, Tom? Wait for '08 and the Blue Devis/SS at rumored $100,000...plus the dealer mark-up.

Bet it has better brakes and I don't think the dealer markup will be as bad. I think they could easily bump the power up also over the 600 mark. It should be interesting battle. If Daimler cuts Chrysler lose what will happen?

That's a beautiful looking coupe! I'm a fan of both the Viper and Corvette - great American muscle/super cars. Looks like Dodge is working hard to continually refine their sportscar. I hope to see more Viper coupes on the track in '07. It's interesting to watch the battle between Viper and Corvette with the Blue Devil/SS coming out next.

theres gotta be ALOT more too the devil/SS other than a power upgrade to make it worth the 30K differnece over the Z06. I took the C6 over the Z06 because when it came down to I could bolt on better than Z06 brake/suspension bits to it and still make up the extra 100hp for around 10-15K on top of the 41K price I picked up my Z51 for, so to make the SS/Devil worth TWICE the price of a modded Z51 it better have some real trick items you just cant do to either the C6 or Z06 to make it anywhere near a sane purchase

Comparing the C6 Z51 to the C6Z how about things (on the C6Z) like a dry sump engine, trans cooler, diff cooler? And it is approx. 100 lb lighter. Although if you don't track or road race the car, none of those probably matter.

Yeah I know about the weight differnce and the dry-sump( though my Z51 has oil/trans cooler) but they still didnt offset the price difference for me. That said, my argument wasnt Z51 vs. Z06, all things considered the Z06 is probably a better bargain compared to its competition, my point was past adding another 30-40K to the Z06 better be something REALLY trick other than a power bump, I just cant imagine what that would be with the Z06 already being what it is, Im talking all alluminum/carbon body, wouldnt that be nice
