BFGoodrich KDW2's are very good tires to do HPDEs with. Great grip, the tires talk you in corners too.
This way your not hurting your normal street tires and your not on R compounds. Many clubs dont allow R compounds on students who have less then 15 weekends.

I ran the KDW2's at 5 track trials and 7 autox events in 2006. I like the performance which I would rank as above average for a street tire. They still have plenty of tread left. I have experianced what looks like a cut all the way around the center tread block on the right front tire after a 100+ degree day at the track. We were driving counterclockwise and I had dropped tire pressures to 29 pounds in front and 27 pounds rear. BFG and Tirerack had no idea as to the cause of what I was describing and I'm replacing that tire. Overall the KDW2's are the most inexpensive option I found for track tires. I miss my Falcon 451's that I had on my C5, I'll go back to them as soon as they are available in the stock C6 sizes.

Love em. Street use and 10 track days on my current set, at least 1/4 life left. Small pits in the fronts, but still seems to be sound. Not sure if it was some light chunking under abusive braking or gravel shoved into a hot tire.
I can't seem to get them to wear out! I want them gone so I can move my tire sensors and switch rims

I have them on my C6... I replaced my stock tires with them so it wouldnt be as expensive goign through tires at HPDE events.... I feel they handled very well.... IMO they are grippier (is that a word) than stock tires... like Tom said... especially in turns... they are a little softer but yet not too soft to last a bit longer than kumho's IMO.....until I make the transition to R-compound... I will use the KDW2's..... good happy medium tire with a lower price tag than tag....
