The official name of the new 908 is the 908 V12 HDi DPFS. HDi DPFS meaning a diesel engine equipped with a diesel particulate filter system.

Paolo Catone is the chief designer of the 908.

The drivers:

Frenchmen, Nicolas Manassian and Stéphane Sarrazin, the Portuguese, Pedro Lamy and the Spaniard, Marc Géné. Sébastien Bourdais (French) and Jacques Villeneuve (Canadian) will help to strengthen the two driving teams for the Le Mans 24 Hours while Eric Hélary will be the official test driver and the reserve.

The way it's porpoising under braking and how twitchy it appears at turn-in, it should make Sebring (esp. 17) loads of fun if they come to ALMS!!

This Peugeot will be at Sebring and test after Sebring12 h but will not race Sebring 12h

Its first race is Mid May in Italy in the LMS, then race at LM24.

i'm looking at the picture of the engine.

it looks as though the heads are built into the block. that is to say there are no headbolts/headgasket etc. must be due to huge cylinder pressure.
