Default Legal Racing

I live in Southern California, I was wondering of a place where I can take my C6 for some Legal Street Racing. Not into racing the Vet, just want a Legal/Safe place to let it run......Paul

Default Track

There are many opportunities to run your car, to your comfort level, at a track, without having to "race" a pack of opponents. Most tracks offer opportunities to run your car on their course -- it's you vs the clock, or you vs yourself. Or you run while taking instruction from an experienced racer.

Bottom line, take it to the track; don't do anything irresponsible on a public road. As Corvette owners, we need to set the bar on responsible use of great machinery for others to follow.

I've been going to the speedventures events when I can, and also encourage you to come out. For a small entry fee, you'll get several hours of driving time in a relatively safe environment, meet lots of great people, and thoroughly enjoy yourself. The atmosphere is very relaxed and only slightly competitive, since most drivers are there just to have fun and can't afford to hurt their cars.

IMO I've had a lot of fun getting to find out what My Vette can do at the local NASA events. I'd suggest seeing if they have an event by you. To get out on an HPDE event all you need is a car in good stock condition and a SA05 helmet. Belive me, you'll have a LOT of fun letting it run at one of these events.

Autocross is fun too, but too much time not driving for me.

There are so many venues for you to really enjoy your vette that you should avail yourself to.

Spring Mountain in Pahrump, NV has an event called Corvette Track days, next time is in April.

You will race your vette in a safe environment, get some great input from very knowledgable instructors.

If your REALLY lucky, you wont get bitten by the race bug, as I have.

Willow Springs is a great track, 1hr north of L.A.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to run the Vette while I was out there. I went with Speed Ventures, very well run.
