Wow, that's one cool video. Shame the video was so dark, you lost a fair cue as to the speed he's travelling.
One thing I did wonder was his use of curbing. The first half of the lap he didn't touch it at all; then later into the run he's on the curbs a fair amount. Is that due to the line on the 'ring, did he start pushing a bit harder than nominal, or did his tires heat up and lose grip?

I believe that engine has been around for ever and is a 7.3 n/a engine.
Makes you wonder what would happen if they simply used the twin turbo version in the SL65???
