Default AMB scoring signal pick up

Forum,

Can you tell me what creative devices you've used to pick up the AMB wireless signals at the track? I'm not referring to data Acquisition units...this would be more like certain video games, etc....?

Thanks,

Mike

I don't think you could do that without all the other competator numbers. In fact it is hard to get your own time from AMB because the group you run with from what I understand has to pay to upload to mylaps.com and or have the updated software to run the AMB and aftermarket in car reciever to show you times. It is not as easy as just have a transponder and device to read it in car. I wish I was wrong and maybe someone else can chime in.

Oh!

Is that a wireless loop or is it hardwired from the S/F line to the timing/scoring computers?

Thanks Tom!

Are there any other games/computers that do this?

Will Icard work????? I though Icard worked by the club buying the Icard system attached to timing and scoring. I do not think an AMB transponder can be read by and Icard in a gameboy without the Icard base connected to the AMB base in timing and scoring. Am I wrong on that?

It's wireless.

I've seen it before but didn't remember enough on how it was done.

I want to pick up the signal so I can post on a big monitor at the track-side garage. Like a golf leader-board!

Not sure Billy Bob.

I have seen a few ppl with the iCard Game boy at NASA events, and the Speed World GT events.

Have also seen ppl with the AMB software on their lap tops, and using a tracks wirless network to log into the tracks timing and scoring, IF IT IS turned on.

BE CAREFUL. That Timing thing and Insurance liability are HOT ISSUES right now.
