Speed might show a one-hour highlight of the endurance race 4 months from now.

7.004 km circuit of Spa Francorchamps in Belgium

The 61st edition of the Total 24 Hours of Spa. Total first sponsored the race last year and the endurance race has been on the FIA GT Championship's schedule since 2001. Michelin, Pirelli, and Dunlop are competing this year. The past two years have seen GT1 battles go down to the wire.

Race to start at 16:00 (noon for ET ? as they are 6 hours ahead)

My choices for the race:

GT1: # 7 Saleen S7R of Larbre Competition (2001-02 winners with a Viper GTS-R) with Michelin tires. Drivers Pedro Lamy, Vincent Vosse, Greg Franchi, and Steve Zacchia.

GT2: # 77 Ferrari F430 GTC of BMS Scuderia Italia (2007 GT2 winner with Porsche) with Pirelli tires. Drivers Paolo Ruberti, Matteo Malucelli, Joel Camathias, and Davide Rigon.

G2 class is for non-homologated GT1/GT2 cars while G3 is for GT3 cars from the FIA GT3 Championship.

G2: # 102 Porsche 996 GT2-R of McDonald's Racing with Michelin tires. Drivers Wolfgang Kaufmann, Aliaksandr Talkanitsa, Philippe Ullman, and Kenneth Heyer.

G3: # 112 Ferrari F430 GT3 of AS Events with Pirelli tires. Drivers Christopher Campbell, François Jakubowski, Mathieu Zangarelli, and Ange Barde.

Coupe du Roi is a relay race. A team has three cars and each car runs 8 hours. JMB Racing is the only team in it this year with Ferraris.
