Default Lowering c5 z06

Currently my car is stock ride height. Although I have T1 sway bars on the car and slicks my car felt very unstable at pocono yesterday at high speeds. I'm thinking I should drop the height a bit to make it more stable. How much should I drop it on my stock suspension?

You need to have your car set up properly at Phoenix Performance. You'll be amazed at the difference.

You can drop it as far as the stock bolts will take it. Just make sure you leave enough thread on the back bolts to properly secure them (i.e. a thread or two sticking out of the nut). It will drop you some, but not excessive. You will have about 2" of wheel well gap.

I am not sure at what speed you felt unstable, but lowering the center of gravity helps are any speed...

The alignment is what Pfadt recommends for aggressive track and some street driving and seems to be perfect because my slicks are finally wearing evenly and seems to turn in great now. The only problem I have is that the car feels unstable in those big high banked turns at Pocono. It feels as if the car is too high off the ground and wants to come unplanted.

High banks are much different then level normal road courses.

Take your car to Phoenix and have it corner balanced.

Just Lowering is not a good thing as that can hurt suspension travel

Which of the banked corners were you on at Pocono?

I did the north course (Turn 3, smallest of the banks) a month ago. Stock ride height and rake. No unstable issues at 120-125MPH.

When I first purchased the car and before I had an alignment done, it felt very unstable at high street speeds, like when passing on a two lane road. The rear end would kind of wiggle. After the alignment...all that went away, feels really stable now.
