Default FS: LS3 Engine - 2000 miles on it

I'm putting a new LS3 in my car this summer and am selling the old, stock LS3 engine (with bat-wing pan). It still pushed around 415 to the rear wheels and turned a 2:01.5 at VIR in April...even with the car's weight at 3450+.

The engine does have the first prototype bat-wing pan (developed and installed by GM). The engine itself has 11 races and about 2000 miles on it. The bat-wing pan alone would cost you $1500 if you had to buy it separately.

The engine is being removed right now and is at Phoenix Performance in Pennsylvania if care to pick it up...or I'll split the shipping costs with you.

Make me a fair offer on it and it's yours. Email me at wtknght1@aol.com if you want more info.

Chris,

Is there anything different about its oil pan?

You mean other than the fact that it's a bat-wing instead of the stock pan?

This pan is the first one GM made and the only LS3 that survived the runoffs at Heartland Park last year. It obviously works.

that doesn't make me feel any better, although it would be great in my ST2 car!

Yeah, I meant in comparison to an ordinary batwing pan (of which there are two varieties, the 2-piece and 1-piece).

I really don't know. I'm pretty sure mine is just a 1-piece unit. All I know is that it kept the engines from detonating!!!

Nah...waste of time... plus the car is not ready yet. I don't have any plans to run the car until the SCCA drops the weight to something reasonable...way less than 3450!!!!!

If I get everything done by November, I'll probably come to the ARRC where I can run the car around 3300 or so.

Now would be the perfect time to turn the car into an STO car!!!

Write me a check for about $30K (probably more) and I'll be happy to. But, if the CRB doesn't take some action and lighten this car up some, give it a legit shot at winning, then STO (or ST2) is where I'm headed.
