Ron Hutter built the cage (and everything else) in my C6 Z06 based race car. He is in Chardon, OH (1/2 hr. from Cleveland). I'm very happy with all the work he has done.
The business name is Hutter Performance Center. Good luck.

Many pro fabricators just do what they have done for 30 years. AL cars are a new breed and you can't weld a steel cage to an AL car. Discuss with your builder integrating your race seat with your cage so that if the bolts shear you are one with the cage not caring what happens to the car around you. Here is a C5 example which would be quite different in an AL car but you get the idea. That "Y" looking piece provides the proper emergence for the 6pt subs and the frame also provided the proper achorage for the subs. There are a few pictures on the web of getting your ball bag ripped if the subs are fabricated wrong. In a dual use car you start compromising real quick. Just remember the C6Z can make some amazing speed.

Thank you everyone for your input. Clearly there is a lot to think about. When I owned my engineering firm, our mantra was "Getting it right the first time." I want to carry that philosophy over into this cage install. I have two more events left before the winter sets in and that is when I will make my decision and begin the conversion.
Being an **** ME, I am leaning towards someone locally so I can monitor the progress and be part of the tear down, build-up and most importantly, part of the decision making when unexpected things rear their ugly heads.

+1 on Matukas in Bowling Green - very nice work. Also, be aware that Pfadt either has, or soon will have, a C6Z cage kit available that looks very nicely done - here's a link.
