Default C6R now in iRacing

Is anyone else here doing iRacing?

They have the GT1 C6R available now and the car is unbelievable!

The sound is even spot on.

I tried it a few weeks ago when it first came online. It was horrible! I am sure the bugs are now worked out. I will be an iracing junkie this winter.

I'm on iRacing. I kinda stink at it. Sadly, no games can mimic the feedback from a real race car.

Is it that much better than GTR2 or rFactor?

Were you trying a pre-release of the C6R?

The released version is pretty good. A very steep learning curve compared to the other cars; but, tons of fun once you find the handle...

Yes. Certainly MUCH better than rFactor. Haven't really tried GTR2.

The tire and suspension dynamics are much more realistic in iRacing.

Here's a lap of Mosport. It's about 2 seconds off 'alien' pace.:

Yup - I'm on there and hope to get some seat time today. So far I've just gotten a few laps in since they released it Friday.

I'm on iRacing. Ran the C6R last night for about 3 hours.
It is awesome. Unbelievable torque. It will take a while to get used to it online. I spun out so much.

I'm with you Drew M. I sort of stink at it too.

I've been racing the Solstice and just started the Star Mazda.
Mostly Time Trials. Tried some w2w with the Solstice but usually can't hang past the first few laps. Then I usually end up by myself until they lap me

The quick way I found to get used to the game was to take the rookie Legends car and run the online races with that. The tracks are all small ovals and the Legends car doesn't have the body roll the GT cars have. Make sure you practice the tracks before you race. I got cursed out pretty bad for causing a big wreck in my first race.
