Comparing T1 sway bars
I'm going to be ordering T1 bars for my C6Z06 and would like to know how they differ from vendors? This set will be used with either coil overs or custom bilsteins from DRM without coil overs. The car is used for HPDEs with little to none as far as street use. Also I will be using either sport cups or hoosiers.

The T1 bars are excellent! I ran 3 years in T1 with just small mods to my 01 Z06 - tires, brakes and the T1 bars. It's one of the cheapest and easiest speed secrets out there. Get the adjustable heim joints, cornerweight the car and 'zero' those sway bars, and put a good tune on the engine and you'll have a fast car. After that, it's all about seat time...repeat...repeat...repeat...

He passed on a cheap slightly used set F/S here on the forum but he said I am not modding my car! Now he is
I told him cheap reliable mod for good bank for buck performance gain.
Home yet Steve or stuck in traffic on LIE for hours today?
Take the Vette to work and you can practice shifting. You know like N-1-2 then 2-1-N then N-1 then 1-N and N-1 and 1-N and so on!

Hi Guys,
Haven't been on the forum in a while so this topic is a good one to chime in on.
We have GM T1 bars in stock. They are the best bars available for the Corvette no matter what spring set up you use.
We liked them so much, "I bought the company"....No sorry, wrong commercial....
But in fact, we did like them so much that we had our own, Interchangeable Sway bars built (our new G1 bars) to match the T1 Bars.
We did that using the best sway bar high carbon stressproof steel and matching the diameters and wall thickness.
Like "Jmorgan07 Z06" said, he took them to TWS and ran the heck out of them.
I tested them myself and we felt that we acomplished our mission to make a set of sway bars, out of the best material, with the same rates as the GM T1 bars, and we did it at a lower price than the GM bars.
At any rate, we have them in stock for a great price and the performance is there 100%
No splines to tear out and the sway bar arm geometry is perfect. You will never have to worry about the angle of the arms on the rear sway bars because these are perfect, and they are adjustable on the rear also.
Bars and bushings alone priced at $650, and get a $50 discount if you buy the quiet end links at the same time.
Thanks
Lou G

Lou,
On a T1 or G1 bar what kind of life can we get out of them? I'm a clueless clubracer. The bars don't show any wear and my a$$ is not good enough to feel any degradation but it is a piece of metal and there must be some degradation. So if I race SCCA 6 weekends a year how long do you think T1 springs last or even T1 sachs shocks or T1 sways?
Thanks!

Shocks and springs.
While all of the race cars use coil overs, the springs are tested at the end of the year, remember we are constantly changing them so most do not have much time on them. Using a quality piece like HyperCo, I have not had to replace a spring due to failure or running out of spec.
Shocks need to be inspected. With a sealed shock you would want look for leaking, blue marks on the piston, wear at the mounts. If you have access to a shock dyno, it would be nice to run them as you have no way of checking pressure on a sealed unit.
The G1 bars, as Lou said are one of the best bangs for the buck when starting out with suspension upgrades. Priced now there are a couple good combo deals you can pick them up with or without links and coil overs and save a bit of money over the holidays!

Thanks LG Motorsports for the reply. I've heard on the forum that if you have a stock exhaust the T1 bars won't fit. Do your bars fit with a stock exhaust? If I go with coil overs I'll be ordering G2s with this set up

2 versions of the rear bar. Old rear bar has issues with c6 exhaust and the newer version is backward compatible.

Steve on ordering your LGM anti-sway bars and LGM coil-overs call me when they arrive so I can check them out.
daily driving with Lou must be a hoot, I hope he works on some TX officers cars to keep a license!
