Default Alright Instructors - What do you want to sit in?

I am ordering seats for my car and I am getting a Kirkey for the driver's side, but I have not decided on the passenger seat. I want to get something that will fit most sizes, so I am looking for opinions. It has to fit in a C4, so I was thinking FX1.

If it fits and sits low, I'm 6'4", then that's cool.

What size Kirkey Intermediate would be best to fit most people? I am probably ordering a 16 for myself

I ALWAYS prefer a stock seat with stock belts.........Racing seats and harnesses are a PITA for me when I'm jumping in and out of cars. A good SMOOTH driver will never cause me to need a harness.

I can name examples of driver's that DID make me wish I had harnesses because they drive like BAD AUTOCROSSERS, but I don't want to hurt anyones feelings! I'm mostly kidding..........

I'm not picky on the brand, but I do like equal restraints and a correct installation. I also like a nice race seat with good side supports so I'm not forced to hang on to whatever I can find.

What I don't like:
-Parts of harness missing (like sub straps)....
-Unsafe installations, loose bolts, stock lap belt wrapped high over a race seat, poor harness angles, etc....
-A harness that was just installed "last night" that I have to help redo 30 minutes before the session.

Also make sure the seat and harnesses are installed correctly. I don't know how many cars I have seen where the seat wasn't fastened correctly or the belts were not installed correctly on the harness bar, etc.

I think it's a good idea for the passenger side to be larger. It's better to have it a little loose on a smaller than for your larger instructors to be uncomfortable.

the problem with that is if you're skinny like me, some people don't fit in your seat...i had a Sparco Evo driver's seat and Evo 2 passenger seat for that reason.

In students cars I prefer the Stock seats and harness for both. Just a rubber tool box liner on the seat bottom

The problem though is that most organizations will demand you have equal restraints for driver and passenger, especially as a novice/intermediate.

Looks like a Kirkey 17 is the way to go. Has anyone not been able to fit into that?

Kirkey 16 for driver side, 17 for passenger side, 6 point harnesses. Anything else and are Hardbar rails the best way to mount these in a C4?
