Holy Smoke! There was an 11 minute lap during the race. Must have had a red flag event.

the lowdown is that it doesnt do much, so don't concern yourself with it.

Yeah, a bmw ended up in the woods just beyond hogpen.

I just can't wait till I fix up the front splitter, put some new pads on and run a set of sticker tires. Its ridiculous how much ***** a wing can give you.

the low down is I need some aero to keep up with those two. The 2:06 I ran today was all I had (old tires though) and Ross smoked me through 10....yes, we were two wide sliding through 10 Alot of fun, wish we had a full race though.

There was a nasty off in one of the advanced HPDE groups Saturday afternoon as well. C6ZO6 lost it on the front straight a few hundred yards past start/finish line. Slid all the way down through the grass and go collected in the tire wall at one. I was watching from the North Paddock patio. I couldn't tell how close the car got to the concrete barrier but it looked close from my perspective. Terrifying seeing a car go off at that high of a speed. Hope the driver is ok and not too much damage to the car.

Wow that was fun! and I think wally is right, ya'll dont need to concern yourself with aero, but if you want I highly recommend you give the Jim at Fulcrum Aeroworks a call .

Past that, Ryan you are fast, seriously if you get a wing, i think it will be you and wally up front! Thanks for a great race on sunday, you had great jumps at both the starts and caught me sleeping. The ONLY way i could pass you was at the top of the climbing esses, and BOY was that a trip. I was wondering if that move as going to stick, and two wide though south bend was GREAT! The drag race up to oak tree must have been fun to watch!

I'm just glad to be out with wally, Ryan, and the rest of the nasa guys! Its been forever since I've been in my corvette, and I missed it! It was a great birthday weekend, complete with 2 seconds, beer, and even some cake!! I have a LOT of work to do before april's event, and we'll see what gets done and what does not.

Any idea how he lost it on the front straight? I wouldn't think that possible for an advanced driver unless he hit oil/antifreeze.

Front facia and right front fender and other minor damage. Driver of ZO6 is ok. One guy in a Miata rolled a few times and broke his arm. Jack blew his new motor up, spectacular fire involved all people involved ok. There was much carnage.

It was a great weekend! Ross and I had a birthday as well as celebrating Mike's that was earlier in the month. No better way to celebrate than at the track with friends in a Villa!

And yes...we are having a lot of fun!!! You should come up and run VIR with us!!!

Bob
