Harness bar Recommendations??
I'm looking for recommendations from the experts here if you would...
I am wanting to install a harness bar in my 08 Z06 and am not sure what to buy.
I looked briefly at the bar at HardbarUSA.com and it appears in the picture that it would restrict my seat from being in it's furthest rearward position...
Does anyone have any suggestions to a good bar that does NOT affect the stock seat positioning?
Thanks very much

I'm not sure why you want a bar... I only autocross and put in a brey-krause. Very nice but HEAVY and I'm still not sure if the downward stanchions are SCCA legal.
Back to my point, I know four of us who autocross C5's and put in four point harnesses and now only use the lap belt. In all honesty the shoulder belts really don't seem to hold me in any better than just the lap belt. And it takes four times longer to buckle and unbuckle. You might start with just a lap belt and _then_ do the harness bar. It'll save you a few hundred dollars.
The lap belt only DEFFINATELY makes a huge difference.
YMMV...
good luck

Before having a custom, 5-point roll bar fabricated for my car I used the Brey-Krause harness bar. I felt the B-K harness was the best harness bar on the market. I don't recall that it impeded seat movement.
I've never heard anyone say the factory seat belt held them in the seat as well as a racing restraint with shoulder straps. Most people I know use a 5 or 6-point restraint (with a sub strap) but even a 4-point restraint used properly should keep you planted in the seat far better than the factory seat belt.

What I meant to convey was after putting in a four point system with a harness bar (New lap belt plus two shoulder belts) we've stopped using the shoulder belts and only use the RACING LAP BELT with anchors. We do not use the factory belt at all. What we've all come to realize is that the RACING LAP BELT alone (for autocross) seems to hold us in the seat as well as the RACING LAP BELT plus RACING SHOULDER BELTS attached to the harness bar.
So I was suggesting that a harness bar plus the two shoulder belts might not be necessary and just start with the RACING LAP BELT with anchors and see how that feels.
Apologies for the confusion...
