Do these tire look ok to run
I bought a set of CCW wheels for the track that came with these tires mounted on them. I've used them on the street and they do ok. But since they are down to the wear bars I'd like more advice. The frugal side of me wants to try them out.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Only doing one track day? They have plenty on them for a day of thrashing and be able to get you home. Like mentioned, I go till I see cord then flip them to the other side!

This is advice from somebody who recently wrecked his car at the track, so take it for what its worth.
The word is you can safely track tires to the cord. Safely meaning they shouldn't blow on you. See advice above.
You as the driver better realize the difference between a brand new sticky set of tires and how much sticky will hold, vs how little they will hold when they are worn out or old and hard. There is a huge difference. Don't let your brain go into recall mode and remind you what you did last time on good tires. Apply this to wet tracks too!
If the frugal side wins out, go slower and inch up to the point where you feel your ride starting to get a little loose. Don't go past that limitation just because you have been faster in the past.
Oh, and just plan on waving people by because they have more traction. If you can't swallow that last sentence, get new tires.
