Default >>Corvette Weight Savings and Power gains from LG Motorsports<<

Hi guys,

Looking to do some upgrades to the car and want to pull some weight off of your Corvette while upgrading the power as well?

Start with our exhaust.
LG SuperPro Long Tube Headers

LG Super Pro 1 7/8" Long Tube headers. Adding power while removing over 27 lbs of weight from the car. Add up to 30 rwhp and gains of 30-40 rwtq gains while removing weight from the car. A double bonus!

Full stainless pipe front to back and come with LG's lifetime waranty! There is not a more powerful header system on the market today!

LG Motorsports EXCLUSIVE Tilton Carbon Clutch
Remove up to 45.35 lbs of rotational weight!
LG's exclusive 7.25" triple plate carbon clutch for Corvette C5,C6, Z06, and ZR1. This is the same style we have been running in our World Challenge and ALMS cars for years now. These are fully rebuilable and have a stock like feel to them. Rated over 1200 ft-lbs of torque they will take anything you can throw at them. Also includes a full race throwout and slave assembly so no more stuck pedal issues.

ZR1 OEM Clutch (C6/Z06 clutch weight 56.5lbs)

LG Tilton

LG Motorsports GT4 Exhaust system

Removes 25 lbs
Designed as a lightweight replacement for the stock system these lightweight mufflers will annouce your arrival in style.

ForgeLine EV1 and Toyo Tire package
Remove 51.8 lbs total rotational and unsprung weight

Looking for a wheel and tire package for the track? ForgeLine's light weight one piece EV1 wheel can get 18" rubber on your ride and have enough room to clear the ZR1/Z07 brakes without any issue. This is the same setup we ran on Lou's Spectre 341 winning ZR1 this year. Your choice of colors and packages as each one is built to order.

For those looking to head to the track, or looking for a winter project these are just a few ways to increase power and drop some weight! Everyhing above would remove up to a total of 149.15 lbs from your car while gaining up to 40 rwhp! That is a change you can feel!

How much $ for that Tilton clutch? Is there any chatter? What disc material do you use? Same material on each side? What type of flywheel is that? Need a lot more info on this one. Thanks Anthony.

Also, anyone happen to know the weight of the ZR1 clutch conversion with an aluminum flywheel?

The Tilton is carbon all the way. The flywheel is steel and hard coated.

No chatter, and much reduced clutch pedal travel, so shifting action is much quicker.

From what I have seen the alum. flywheels on the ZR1/LS9 setup removes 8-9 lbs from what I listed there as the OEM setup.

Yes they do. We have been using them in all of the TransAm, World Challenge, and ALMS cars (GrandAm doesn't allow them) for the better part of 15 years.
