Default Error 404: Traction not found

Just some pics from this weekends Ice Trials. Yes, that is snow and ice we're racing on - Your eyes don't deceive you. Also, that's a Corvette out in the winter, on a frozen lake.

lawl of the day:

Race steward comes up to me as I'm standing in line -

Steward: "You know, you're the first Corvette we've ever had out here in 12 years. I didn't know they make winter tires that wide."

Me: "They don't. I've got these bad boys stretched onto the rim just to get them on there."

Cool! And good subject line! My local club has those events too, I've been seriously considering getting some kind of setup to attend. On the other hand, I've been considering a snowmobile and just having fun with that. I need some more winter activities!

NCCC used to have Icekahnas in the rule book. Nobody wanted to put one on though so it got dropped as a sanctioned event a few years ago. I always thought it would be "cool" to attend one. I know I can get winter (even studded) tires for my 73!

I'd recommend an old set of wheels/tires with studs on them, and tow hooks front and rear. Also remove the air damn if you have one. Running Blizzaks allowed me to compete, but I was babying the car the whole way through to avoid going off the track.

Your a trend setter.. I want to ice race the vette, but i'm worried about the surface being to bumpy or the boat launch ripping the bumper off.

my subaru.. Cant remember the lake, but the bar in town had cheap drinks.

150 screws and 8 hours..

That's wicked!

To the OP, you're nuts! But we're all nuts for doing what we do so keep it up .
