Something new here today for your LS engine. Spin on, take apart oil filter. They filter down to 8 microns, and will let you pull the filter apart to check on condition of your engine. MSRP $150, replacement elements $16 ea.
Sure beats cutting the stock filter apart every time and checking the filter material any time you want to see what is being pushed through the engine. We have always been able to pull the filters apart on the race cars and check them between oil changes, now you can have the same ability.

I'm trying to find flow rates on the factory and replacement filters but for those that wanted to know, these are 15 GPM.
