These are the current provisional standings, BUT, I couldn't find where practice was broadcast on any TV station. I show Qualifying and Race on Speed, but what about practice?

Speed has been consistant for quite a few years now.
Practice (P2) on Fridays (sometimes Thursdays for Asian & Australian races)
Qualifying on Saturday (sometimes Fridays)
Race on Sunday (sometimes Saturdays)

Don't mistake multiple practice listings for the showing of P1 and/or P3 as those are never shown on "tv" - they are just reruns. P1 and P3 are only shown via internet streaming.

According to this evening's TV show "Formula 1 Debrief" the Force India Team has been "Sent Home" and will NOT race tomorrow. In addition, there were numerous videos of violence at or in the vicinity of the race circuit. I hope all is safe for the F1 Teams at tomorrow's race

I think that Debrief was filmed before qualifying, and was discussing their absense from P2 on Friday so their team could get to their quarters before dark. However, there is an article on Speed about how the Force India cars were never shown on TV during their qualifying sessions; DiResta made it all the way to Q3.
Have a good one,

- Be a huge deal and would be all over the racing press and it's not.
- Have to be done by the FIA or the stwards - not Bernie - and I'm not sure what rule they'd have broken to warrant such an extreme reaction.

That said, I do think it's pretty weenie of the Force India folks. Sheesh.

They said the grandstands were sold out but I didn't see that at all. I don't think they were half full. Race was good.

Force India's team owner, even though he is very wealthy, had his airline shut down, none payment of airport landing fees, and planes may be repossessed for none payment to his investors and lenders. Wonder it that had anything to do with it???

For one thing, Mallya is no longer "the team's owner" as he sold a large stake in the team last year ($100 million) to Sahara India Pariwar. SIP owns 41% of "Sahara Force India F1 Team" as does Mallya. The board of directors is chaired by SIP's Roy Sahara (not Mallya.)
While the airline is going through what other airlines around the world are going through (see "America Airlines") his liquor and beer business is doing quite well. We won't be needing to hold any charity events for Vijay any time soon and the ups and downs of his other corporate interests are disconnected from the F1 team. That's precisely why you incorporate a business - to isolate it as a separate entity (one reason, anyway.) Even if Kingfisher Air went bankrupt, Mallya's personal bank account(s) would remain untouched. His net worth, which includes the market value of his shares of Kingfisher, would drop, yes. But that's only a percentage of what he actually has in h is pocket.
Remember that corporate finances are separate from personal finances. Forbes puts Mallya's net personal worth at ~$1 billion. To compare, Donald Trump is (allegedly) worth ~$1.7 billion. Trump businesses have filed for bankruptcy 4 times. See?
