Continental Rain Race Tire pressures?
Hey guys I'm heading down to VIR in the morning, and with this impending hurricane I decided to take along a set of rain race tires. Continental 285x17 Rains, what pressures should I run?

You need to run 2-4 psi more than you would in your dry tires. You're still looking for the same hot pressures as you would in the dry, but because the ambient temps are cooler and the track is cooler it takes a higher starting cold pressure to get there. Not too mention that you will be driving a little slower in the rain.

If the rains are a true slick and not a DOT tire, that would be a start. Make sure you get your tire pressures as soon as you get off the track ( as fast as possible, before the tire cools). The more data the better results.
