Default Track day Car. Need help choosing cam.

I have a 6speed, 06 LS2 car with a Callaway Honker and LS7 Exhaust. My car is not a daily driver. It is driven for fun and to Track days....Road Course, not Dragstrip. Looking for a good cam for power but not too radical to drive on the street since I do drive up to 3 hours to get to an event. Any suggestions or experience would be great

Thanks, Jason

I'd give Katech a call-- their torquers are fantastic-- or LG, the idea being to find a shop that caters first to road race folks, not drag racers. Since you're looking for something that's not too radical their suggestions would likely work very well for you.

I would definitely recommend not going with the MS3 from TSP. Rough on springs.

I have subscribed to this thread as I have exactly the same questions, on an LS1.
At this time I may choose a Comp cam 222/224 .566/.568" on 112LSA+2 adviced by PatrickG. It seems comp cam have lobe designs which are easier with the valve train.

Boss

that would be a very good cam and yes easy on the valve train.

Good Luck
