Default CoTA - In Car Video from TDE Event

Here it is - it was an 8/10 lap because of the damp track, but it gives you a feel for the track.

Great video of the new track - thanks for posting ! That glass smooth surface is nice. Wish it was not so far away.

Track looks like everything we thought it would be: glass smooth, great facilities (I assume), and brutal on brakes! 8/10s running 150 down to 50, 135 down to 50, etc.

Looks like y'all had a great time!

Thanks for sharing, and have a good one,
Mike

Wow - now my car needs to be worked on John!!! Sitting in the garage with 2 feet of snow on the ground is depressing.

I've driven 6 different tracks now:
Sebring, Texas World Speedway, MSR Houston, MSR Cresson, Eagles Canyon and CoTA. I would have to rank it at the top. Sebring is pretty fun, but it beats the car (suspension) to death. MSR Houston isn't in the best condition (though they repaved sections during the first week of Jan - haven't been on it since, but will next weekend). MSR Cresson (only ran the short course) was kind of boring to me. Eagles Canyon was fun as a track, but it's in the middle of the boonies. There is NOTHING to do in the area when you're not on track. TWS would probably be my second favorite, as it combines the technical with the high speed as CoTA does, but CoTA's technical sections are more challenging, and the surface is flat out amazing. It's the only track I've ever driven where you can stiffen up the chassis and suspension a LOT and the car will get better. The others are too rough for that.

Thanks for posting the video, and it was good to meet you. It finally warmed up a bit today and Corey (Quikag) ran a 2:22 on Finspeed F14-RT wheels and Michelin slicks. The Ferrari Challenge fast lap was 2:26, so he was flying.

2:26 was during practice, the Ferrari's and Porsche's both got into the mid teens during the race. Can't find the the Ferrari's fast lap but the GT3 fast lap was a 2.13.19. Corey needs to post up some vids

Daniel means the Challenge car that was at COTA this past weekend, not the newest 458 Challenge and Pirelli Cup cars. I'm not even close to those race cars with my nearly stock street car. Anyway, I have a thread with my vids posted.

OP, good seeing your car out there. Not as many Vettes at this event for some reason.
