trans and diff cooler install questions
Can you share how you did yours and possible pics?
I want to piece one together rather than spend 700$ is a pump necessary or will the gear drive the fluid?

It's really simple guys.. I'll post a link to where I got my coolers from and if you can do anything mechanical to you cars then you can fab up the brackets to mounts them anywhere..

The big question is what to use for a pump. The one that the T1 kit uses are something like $400 each. The one that DRM uses is ~$150 or so if I recall correctly.

Tilton makes an electric pump that some use - it would be nice to find a low cost mechanical pump option though.

Yes, you need a pump. Either mechanical like in the LG kit or electric like the DRM one.
Options for electric pumps:
Weldon - $475
Genesis - $180

There are more options - see here - http://97.74.32.155/files/pump.pdf
You should use a filter before the pump.
I think a gear-style pump is a much better choice than the diaphragm style.
I think you should use thermoswitches to trigger the system, such as one of these, especially on the diff pump to avoid pumping while the fluid is cold (and potentially overworking the pump) - http://www.etrailer.com/Radiator-Fan...le/D16730.html

If you are installing on a C6 ZO6 you do not need pumps. the factory mechanical diff and trans pumps will be sufficient enough. if you were doing hardcore race use. then I would look into a higher quality and volume mechanical pump.

My car sees 1-2 track days a year. 30 min sessions tops, but I'm adding a flat bottom panel to a diffuser. I by no means need to make this a high dollar venture. I thought all I ended was a 40$ cooler and a couple lines. If a pump, switches, this and that are all involved il just take my chances.
