Default Just some Tow hook Install on my Z

Woke up early on sunday, and decided to install the universal tow hook my friend gave me a long time ago.
Taking off the bumper was time consuming. I just searched the forum for the instructions. So many bolts and screws and pop screws..
Finally got the bumper off and inspected the area i want to install the hook. Once i decided, Drilling went smooth with titanium drill bits. Having right tools make life easier.
I also did some "flip tie" intake mod while the bumper was off but ill post that later~
Anyway, Putting back the bumper was pain in the ***. So many holes and gaps that needs to be addressed for proper fitment.
I just cut out the mesh grill with nippers.. Yea yea some forearm workout right here.
All in all after like 8 hrs of sweating and chilling out and frustrated and happy moments, tow hook and intake flip tie mod is finally installed.

FYI those would be Titanium Nitride (TiN) coated drill bits, not actual titanium drills

How did you decide on where to drill/mount on the frame? Would you mind sharing what your measurements are? I have a tow hook I need to install before this season.

Once I took off the bumper, I inspected the frame and notice the whole bumper beam is pretty thin. After some educated guesses, I just eyeballed it.

I used a $12 strap from Amazon that worked perfect.

No, here's the strap I used though.

There was a square hole already in the bumper that a drilled larger for 1/2" bolt that comes with the strap. Cut the rubber bumper a little and used velcro to keep in place. The bumper cover wasn't that bad.

really I wanted the ridged one, but was a little unsure of aligning the cutout hole.

My concern was having only 1 bolt that holds the strap. I know Hardbar has two holes, but I can't find a place that sells them right now..

have to remove the bumper cover... its easy if you don't care so much about alignment

Where was the attachment point for the strap? Once I remove the bumper, is there an obvious mounting point I should see? I have never removed the bumper before.

Drill hole in bumper depending where you want it to exit the plastic cover. I did middle using existing square hole that I drilled out.
