Default ZR1 Track oils

What are you guys using for viscosity? I ran Mobil 1 15-50 on a modded LS7 Z. I've got a ZR w/just 1700 miles now. Car is OEM, std cooling & oil pump, so will likely be getting very hot. Is 15-50 too much and maybe I should use 10-40?

Motul 300V 10w-40, Redline 15w40 have worked very well for us in the past on the cars.

My first suggestion...one of our radiators and 160 thermostat's to keep it a bit cooler on track.

I'm looking forward to T1s and a camber kit you guys are shipping today I hear. Phase two this winter will be the power adders and cooling. Unless the cooling is a big problem initially, it's going to get driven hard. I expect some heat soak.

Ya I know its not ideal, some had said stock is doable but I want to get to a more conservative config so will likely do rad, bricks, oil cooler, exchanger. First event Fri will be a shakedown and mellow sorting it out some. Had a well modded H/C, susp, R6 C6Z prior that was more capable but this will feel similar except for the blower low end torque. The ARE, Davis, & Setrab kept the Z06 in great shape.
