Default Chin Motorsports at Road America

Anybody else driving in the Chin Motorsports event at Road America on August 22-23? Or have any experience with this group? Ive done a number of PDX events but this is the first with Chin. I'm just hoping with that much track time at a 4 mile course the brakes and tires last 2 days!

I too have run Road America with other organizations but not with Chin. Have heard nothing but good things about them from guys here though. They don't have the track rented at night which means nobody can camp overnight. I've always camped in my trailer in the padock, so I've never stayed in any of the area hotels. They are running the kink, so that's good.

Maybe...

I've run with them there and will be there the 22-23. They run a good program and keep things running smooth so that everyone gets there track time. They are good about the groups as well, should be a lot of skill levels.

No clue what type of brakes you run or how hard you're on them but I always bring spares. Brand new Hawk DTC 70's on my BBK can last me 2 weekend DE's there...albeit they are down to nothing.

I thought last year I was able to leave my trailer in the paddock over night.

You can leave your trailer overnight you can't camp there. You will have to be off the grounds by 7:00.

Chin is a great group to run with. Class act all the way with plenty of run time.

A good hotel is The Baymont in Plymouth. Want something really nice try The Osthoff.

Was nice to meet you as well.

First time at this track with the new Aero. The kink can be pretty intimidating at about 130!
