Default Post your gutted weights

mostly looking for C6 but C5 could help some other folks too.

post what car and model, with weight, and what youve removed or added. ie AC, cage, etc etc. pics never hurt either.

Thanks!

No fuel, no driver, no ballast I believe the car came in around 2750 lbs.

C6 cars lost a little weight when we went to the sequential gear box setups. They came in around 2720, again no driver, no fuel, no ballast

2662 for the ALMS car if memory serves correct. No driver, no fuel, no ballast

All of those cars were factory steel frames, factory suspension cradles, and all used a torque tube setup, expect for the ALMS car.

Just for fun I thought I would throw my C4 into the mix. No interior and plexi in place of the rear window. With 1/4 tank of gas and a 170 lb driver I'm at 3,025 lbs.

My 87 4+3 stripped but running no interior no cage yet, just drivers seat, but with working power glass windows and all glass was 2690

Now with the ls7 should be -120, tremec -40, race hood -60, custom harness -30, should be 2430 before adding brakes +30, rs porsche style interior +30, minimalist cage +40, for right at 2550 in streets ble form with all glass and custom interior.

No cage. It had another #50 for sure. I still drove it to the track.

I think you are overestimating on the ls7 unless your counting removal of the a/c system and air pump. I did a ls3 swap and i'm thinking the ls3 is about 60lbs lighter than the sbc, maybe even less.

Why not. My C4 with no driver and a few gallons was 2,843 lbs. I'd say more like 2850+ with the brake ducts, roll cage padding and a few brackets installed back on the car. Add my round self and a full fuel cell, I'd be right around 3,200 lbs I think.

Before aero, mine was 2709lbs w/1/8 tank. Cage was heavy with .120 wall tubing.
With no fuel or fire suspression, it would have been under 2700.
Pretty sure Nunnally's car was under 2600lbs fully stripped.

Mine is a stock C5 Z06

Stuff to lighten the car:

Headers
No cats

Stuff that's probably a wash:

2 Kirkey intermediate road race seats with Planted mounts.

Stuff that added weight:

Hardbar harness bar with extenders
2 sets of 5 point harnesses
Fikse FM10 wheels with street Michelin PSS

Weight in this form with a 1/2 tank of fuel is 3120lbs no driver

I finally got a few laps in at Gingerman today between the rain. I'm planning on being out at Blackhawk on 10/1, see you there?
