.660 Cam too big for repeated track days?
I am looking at buying a 2008 base with an aggressive cam (.660 lift). Is that hard on the engine if im doing 8-9 track weekends a year? Anything I should be worried about? I have never dealt with cams before

thats pretty big to be spinning at WOT for hours on end per weekend.
if you do go that big i would certainly do double springs for when/if you break a spring and also change the springs every 5-10k for insurance

I might need to clarify, the work has already been done on a car im looking to buy and I am trying to figure out if I should go to a less aggressive cam if I buy it.

Would depend more on the ramp rates of the cam than just all out lift. Heck the TransAm car ran a cam over 0.700" lift but again...depends on how aggressive the profile of the cam is and how often you want to change valve springs.

Agreed with Anthony, a .560 lift can be harder on springs than a .660 lift depending on the lobes/ramp rates used. If you are looking at a BTR cam, I would call them up, you may even get Brian on the phone and ask them for their recommendations on cam specs and spring life. I am a big fan of Cam Motion cams or EPS who often uses Cam Motion to grind their cams. I am running BTR springs and a CamMotion Cam.
