Weight of 327 long block
I would like to get the approximate weight on a 327 long block. Has everything on it except the water pump, distributor and carb. It's a 1965 cast #3858180. Need the weight for shipping purposes.
Thanks

Rich,
I found this page. It lists them at about 535-575 lbs.

Check out the Cad V16 weight...or the
Chrysler M4 tank engine 5,244 lbs

The list shows heaviest SB at 575lbs and heaviest BB at 685lbs, but the add weights that were used to make up curb weights say that the l36 (all iron) is 215lbs heavier than the base (iron ) SB.
Something is off by 100 lbs??
