As said, your 5.5 tach red line indicates either a 250 or 300hp.
If it's a 300, your exhaust should be 2.5 inch I believe.
2" would indicate that it was a 250hp.
Hope I got that right!

Syd
Syd the 300hp also came with 2 " in the power guild.

What color interior? Is it a 4spd? Any other options like PW or brakes?
Metallic brakes??
What is your cars Body number? Does your serial tag have a 'DD' on it?

Not sure if your asking if I have any cars listed after yours, or any Coupes listed after but I think you mean FI Coupes recorded later than yours.
To date, I have 55 cars listed after yours to the end of '63 production and 4 of them are listed claiming to be FI Coupes.

Thanks Dad's 59?
Syd
Silver exterior/Black interior 4sp and very rare full tint car, you could not get a power glide or power steering on a fuelie or a 340 car, I will have to check on the body number. DD were would that be and what does it mean? Thanks syd

Thanks Dad's!
I asked about your trans type in case you might have had a rare 3spd.
The "DD" should be on your serial number tag. It stands for Delivery Date and only started appearing very late in '63. Pretty certain your coupe will have it.

BTW, I have the '63 built after yours recorded as being: #21,225 a Red/Red 4spd Roadster with White top, 6.5 tach red line and it has a DD tag.

Yes you could get a 3sp sorry how cool is that they were right next to each on the line! I think I remember a DD but I will check again. Thanks Syd

My body number is 10,488 build date L2/ Aug 2nd
I thought the DD you were talking about was punched in the trimtag Chevrolet never punched a DD on a trimtag, however some dealerships stamped delivery dates on to the existing trimtags sorry for the confusion mine does not have a dealership stamp.

Like I said that stamp was done at a dealership Chevrolet did not have a crew workers in the holding lot stamping dates on cars right before they were going to be loaded on a train or truck.

That's not what I was referring to when I mentioned the 'DD' to Dad's 59.
Very late 63's had 'DD' on the Serial Tag. The earliest I've noted was right around vin #20,700. Your Coupe in the early 15,000 vin range would not have a 'DD' on your tag.
It's just another interesting thing I noticed and now try to watch for when coming across a 'late' car.

Thanks Dad's 59!
I have '63 #21,221 listed as being a Silver Blue/Blue Coupe, Body #10,487

Take a look at your Serial tag. You should have the 'DD' that I'm talking about.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Syd good morning so you are referring to vin tag right? Does it look like it was punched before the vin tag was attached like all the other #s, or stamped after being attached?:cool :

Yours I think should read CHEVROLET DD along with your serial number.

Did you take a look?? How about posting a shot if you are able!

Hi CoolShark,
Wow, another beautiful SWC appears!
I did not have your '63 #12,056 listed in my file. Is your 2nd
picture from the used car lot where you found it?
Presuming it's a 4spd? Also, what is your Body number??

Thanks!
Syd
