Latest rendering.
I ended up choosing the Mast motorsports BLACK LABEL LS7 427 SS 675HP
Engine Should be ready in 4 weeks.
Tranny is still up in the air. 6 speed or the new Keisler 700 5 speed.
Should have this nailed down by the end of next week hopefully.

The rear tires will not be a problem using Mini-tubs, the front tires may be more complicated.
We should know how much of a difference 1/2" on a front wheel makes. There are lots of C2's out there with the 19x9.5 factory wheels on them using this chassis or one similar (i have seen some with modifications made to fit them). I will know more next week.

I was having difficulty deciding between flush mounting the glass or using the factory stainless (painted black) but tightening it up.
the flush glass option poses too many problems. The trim at the door/windshield is all stainless and with it removed there is oodles of work to do to the door.
I really didnt want it to look like a 64 that someone put the rear split onto it or that the car looked like a kit because too much of the originality was removed.
I have also decided to keep the factory door handles for this reason but am shaving them down/tightening them up similar to tucking in the bumpers.

Engine Decision
I have used GM Crate Engines, built my own engines, purchased from engine builders like MTI Racing. If you are going to drive the car any distance, you may want to consider a GM crate engine because of warranty considerations. If your engine has problems a good distance from home and you have a GM crate engine, you're covered by the GM nationwide warranty - any GM dealer will service the car.

Progress has been slow but steady.
Some Glass needed to be repaired behind the nose where some mounts were and the process of routing wiring and hoses is ongoing.
Fabrication of the side exhaust has begun and the side vents are cut out.
There is a cover that fits in over the wiper motor to hide it.

Beautiful build!! Have you considered posting your build on lateral-g.net or pro-touring.com? Our Corvette forum has some nice builds. It would be nice to post them on the other forums to show the young, how vintage Corvettes look when updated.
