You have an overall plan laid out?
Engine, trans, etc?
Interior Plans?

I bought a 64 coupe from the forum and am headed down the same path. I am leaning toward a different chassis as much because of location as anything else.

The SRIII stuff is VERY nice.

More details...

650hp will require some stout drivetrain mods, what 5 speed do you plan to run?? The Dana 44 will need upgrades so it won't go boom under high load conditions. Send me a PM and I will give you some tips on the D44, I'm currently at 700hp at the engine and run 10.70's on street tires with mine. Great start to your project!!!

have the backside guts of the tach switched out for a late 70's tach electronic board. from the driver's seat you won't know the difference except for a rock steady accurate read on rpm's..

roger at corvetteinstruments did mine..

as far as the D44.. Jeff has some good experience to share.. although I must say I have known 9 second cars that ran stock D44 rear ends with the ZF6 during the years I gave more love and attention to my C4 and ran around with more of that generation..

Having some engine dilema's today hoping for some input.

Local engine builder LS7 650hp $22,000
Mast Motorsports LS7 650hp $17,000

The parts are very similar...mast uses their M90 ECM which i know nothing about and stock GM intake and GM 90mm throttle body.

Has anyone had problems with delivery? They say 4-6 weeks. 4-6 is workable....10-12 is not!

lastly....I can drive right over and knock on the door of the local builder if there are problems...but Texas is a 3 day drive from here! Not that generally once you tune these LS engines they should be problem free.... Just wondering if anyone has had problems and how customer service was in dealing with them...or if you are just another number.
