Windermere FL show pics from last Sat
I was in Orlando on buis for a few days last week and was able to get out to a show in a little town called Windermere on Sat, and then over to the Oldtown cruise-in on Sat eve to see Frank and meet Mike Coletta and his bud with the '62 resto rod (his name escapes me).
The weather was gorgeous, Windermere is a nice little town, brought my new camera for its first road test.
Paul
And finally over to Oldtown and yacked with Frank and Mike Coletta for a while, unfortunately it was getting dark so only got one good pic of Franks beautiful '61, with his buds '62 and Mikes '64 in the background

Great shots Paul, well done. I see you're escaping the winter storms....good timing!
I was hoping for a group shot around Frank's 61 and the cool 62 though.

Paul, great pictures and thanks for posting. What camera did you buy. I am looking for a smaller camera to replace my Nikon D40. The D40 is too big and bulky Thanks

Great pictures! It sure gives me a warm fuzzy feeling here where it's cold. Seems like a lot of people was checking out Frankies car.
Did that track-T have a slant six in it?
Windemere got my attention a little bit too, that's the name of the street I live on in Missouri.

Thanks for the kind words guys, it was nice to be out in my shorts a car show taking snaps in the dead of winter, even if only for a day, did my soul good.
Yup Rob, I did want to get a group shot with Frank and Mike, but I got there at near dusk and them we started talking cars, imagine that, car guys talking cars...
Here is a shot of the interior of the '62, Mike built it for the fellow, great workmanship.
I ended up going in the other direction Marc, even bigger than the D40 I'm afraid , but both Nikon and Cannon have great large sensor small bodied cameras now that would probably fit the bill for you, great image quality in a small size.
Yup, I've seen Frank's car a few times in the past, beautiful and always a fav with the crowds.
Yes the T did have a slant 6, very cool car, here is a vid I found on it, guy built it from scratch.
Unfortunately no shots of the interior, nice car though.

It was great to see and talk to Paul again last week. The "little town" of Windemere is actually the most prestigious community in Central Florida and on an enchanting chain of fresh water lakes. Tiger Woods had a home there for many years along with many other celebrities and more than one billionaire. One of my favorite things to do is take my boat out on that set of lakes and run visitors down 'Millionaires Row' and let them gawk at the lakefront estates.
I attended the Windermere car show (this is the 4th year for it) for two years running but was so out-classed by the Masearti's, Bentleys, Ferraris and Lambos (along with a real - yes REAL Shelby AC Cobra) that I didn't go this year. I was planning for my Sebring outing as well so time was at a premium.
The '62 Mike Coletta built (whose cockpit is shown above) is the most popular car at Old Town week after week and has been for years. Once it gets dark and the owner cranks up the sun visor LED screens with music videos and gets the neon accent lights going I may as well cover up the '61 and call it a night.
Its an amazing vehicle - not to mention its a rocket on the street...

'57 wheels
Schott has a similar version with the lug nuts hidden.
I agree they are nice wheels, A friend of mine has the chrome version of the Schott wheel on his '65 restomod coupe. Sharp!
Tom
P.S. The rat rod pickup looks like it's right out of Disney/Pixar movie "Cars".
