This diagrams of a non tilt/tele steering column must be wrong?
Sometimes if my assembly manual does not show detailed pictures i look at diagrams from companies that sells Corvette parts
Have a look at these 2 diagrams showing how the the horn contact is
supposed to be placed in the top of the steering column must be wrong?
I do not think that you can push the horn contact from below up thru the canceling cam and steering wheel hub as shown in the diagrams

Here's how they fit together in my '65 (non-tele).

Yes but you pushed the horn contact from the top downwards like the red arrow on the picture
On the diagrams in my first post the horn contact looks like it is supposed to be pushed from below the canceling cam and towards the steering wheel hub

the horn contact goes in from the top. the picture does look like it comes from the bottom up. [ bad pic ] after you put the wheel on then install the horn button on top of wheel. [ three slits in center of wheel. with prong on the bottom of button over the horn contact. when you push horn, it makes contact with each other. i hope that helped!

There is no problem to put in place the horn contact at all
I just posted this because to show how some diagrams/pictures can be misleading like the picture and diagram in my first post
