Default Who can make fender emblems?

Hello,

I am Oliver from Germany.
My 66 Coupe is a resto mod with a 540 M-block. So I look for anybody, who can make fender emblems with 540 instead of 427. They should look like the original.

Has anybody an idea or an adress?

Best regards
Oliver

If you can't find a source, you might check out a painter - custom motorcycle shops? - who could airbrush the emblem on your fenders. I've seen some work by these guys (see NASCAR cars) and it can look very realistic.

Oliver you may want to contact a good friend of mine in Marchtrenk Austria (Stefan Roehrl) roehrl.stefan@gmx.net and he has a good friend who is a painter and I am sure he could paint your emblem on your fender for you. I have seen this guys work and he is outstanding. Just tell him Mike from America told you to contact him.

This would be a nice idea. But I have built up a sleeper. You see nearly nothing.
One way would be to mill the 427 away from the emblem and put the letters in the emblem. But I think an expert can mill the complete emblem in brass, then I could chrom and paint it.
Normally I am a mn guy, but this car has to be as original as possible.
The sound is not original

there may be lots of places that can do this, that was just one place i found with Google. as was said in one of the previous threads, they could probably be made with a CNC machine, OR someplace with one of those 3D printers and then cast.

Google Austin Barnett. He can make you any kind of emblem you want.

If you write the "G-code," I'll cut you a pair on my CNC mill. I imagine that it would be quite involved.

Can't be more than a few thousand lines of code. We run the Mach 3 version.
If you have a CAD program, you can often use a conversion program, or it may even be included.

Take a reproduction emblem and mill down the 427 smooth and use epoxy to hold the 327 numbers in place would be one way.

IIRC, you can now buy any of the numbers, including those never used by GM.

I ground off the 427 numbers and bought the same size/font numbers from a trophy shop & glued them on. Wayne
