Let’s Help this Couple Find their Corvette
OK, folks, let’s pull all our resources together for this one because the unthinkable happened this past weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise – a Corvette owner’s classic 1965 model was stolen.
That’s right. Stolen right in Birmingham, MI: one of the most prestigious areas along Woodward Avenue where people flock annually to take in the cruise.

Sad but that's why you can't leave beautiful classic cars unattended as thieves want to take what they didn't earn. Hope they get their car back but bet it's already out of state by now.

Unfortunately, this happens almost every year at the WDC...somebody has their classic car stolen.
I saw them interviewed on the local news a few nights ago - really hope they get their car back, but I seriously doubt they will.

When nature calls at the car show it's real peace of mind to be able to open an app on your phone and see your car isn't moving.

Last year in Pensacola, Florida when I could not find a parking spot within sight of the restaurant I was going to eat on Palafox Street, two Marines in khaki uniforms offered to keep an eye on the car for me while I ate lunch. I took them up on the offer...twenty minutes later brought them both a beer for the unscheduled security detail. They laughed when I offered them the beers, they said they were on duty. So I handed the beers to their girlfriends. Girlfriends wanted to ride in the car, but I pointed to the two Marines and said "Not until they get the chance to." So sorry these folks at the Detroit show didn't have a couple good Marines to watch their car for them. God Bless the US Marines!
