New Member - Getting ready to pull out a Fuelie Radiator Core Support and replace it with the correct 340 support. Does anyone know if this can be done without taking off the hood?

I've never pulled a '63, but I pulled the radiator and support out of my '67 with the hood in place. It would probably be easier with the hood off (less bending) but not required.

Thanks....hate to pull the hood If I don't have to, but it might be the best thing to do.

Pulling the core in my 63 FI was not a problem without removing the hood.

Thanks Gene, I started yesterday... Left the hood on, drained and pulled the radiator and unbolted the support. Without a helper I had to sit on top of the engine to get enough leverage to pull the core straight up. I'm pulling the support today. Thanks again!
