Got my '66 out this past weekend and there's work to do!
When I pulled my '66 AC Coupe out this past weekend I noticed a small amount of fluid on the floor under the car. Took it out for a ride and parked it in the driveway and a fresh puddle of fluid under the car's right front appeared. Looks and feels like anti-freeze (I'm running GO 5). Sure enough it's the dreaded heater core. I changed it 20 years ago hoping never having to do it again. For the summer I'm doing the old heater core by pass and looping the heater hoses together with some pipe. This will be a winter project 2016.

Hate to hear it...but if you're going to have the hood open all summer showing it off...maybe install some plugs in the intake and some of the rubber caps over heater core connections? Sure looks nicer than the looped heater hose deal.
Or you could install some shutoff valves in the heater hoses to block off the core. Those are handy in the summer anyway.

Yes I'll be at a few shows this summer so I will make it look nice. My radiator is a DeWitt aluminum piece. I hope that's not in my future.
