where are the numbers on '65 powerglide?

Default where are the numbers on '65 powerglide?

working on 1965 convertible....trying to verify original tranny, i found some numbers stamped into trans. pan, but clearly are not VIN numbers. where would the others numbers be if they are there? thanks, Rick

You don't say what numbers you found -- here's my late '66 (July build car) powerglide stampings & their meaning:

T0627D = Toledo, June 27th, day shift.

No VIN derivative, no model year derivative.
