Default 63 Coupe Power Window Circuit Breaker Mounting

I'm helping a friend restore an early 63 coupe. It was built in Sept/Oct of 62. It's a factory PW car.

Where does the PW circuit breaker mount? The PW breaker and the HL breaker are identical parts. On my non-power window 63 roadster, the headlight motor breaker mounts on the A pillar/birdcage behind the LT kick panel.

Here's a pic from my 63 NON PW car.

The AIM says to mount the breaker in the "hole" beneath the HL breaker, but there is no hole there.

Any thoughts? He took pictures of the disassembly of the car, but has none of this area. The car had the original PW harness in it, and it has all the right "stuff" to be a factory PW car... so it's not a conversion.

Here are 2 pics of my friend's car.

You can see one breaker mounted in the proper location.

You can see the second breaker hanging to the LT of the mounted one in the first picture.

While this doesn't answer your question, it's worth noting the breaker in the center of your first picture isn't doing anything useful. The two ring-tongue terminals are shorted together, bypassing the breaker function entirely.

He's got things mocked up for now, and as I recall, he mounted the PW breaker where I think the HL motor breaker goes.

If you look at the breaker hanging in the first picture, you'll see the black "heat shrink type" insulation pieces around the wire connectors of the HL breaker.

The new PW harness did not have this insulation, leading me to believe that it's just wrapped in the harness, and not "mounted" anywhere.

On my '66 there is a second small square hole where the dashboard brace ends. Not easy to see if the dash is installed (mine isn't).

Thanks, Buns. I know it's supposed to be there. We'll have to look again.

I was out in the shop snapping pics so thought I might as well grab one of the circuit breaker holes for future reference.

Thank you, Buns. That is exactly what I need. IIRC, from the AIM, the headlight breaker mounts in the upper hole when you have a PW car. Otherwise, it mounts in the lower hole. Do you agree?

The '66 AIM says to use the lower hole for the power window circuit breaker. So, I assume you have to move the headlight motor circuit breaker to the top one, although it doesn't say that.
