Default My Random Photos From Hershey Thread

Because everyone loves pictures, here's a sample of the bunch of pics I took at Hershey this week. I would suggest this event to anyone who loves cars and parts, although you need bandaids for the blisters after a week on pavement.

Some pics may need explanation... yes the hockey rink is actually located in the middle of the show in the Giant center...

A friend and former customer took a lot of 54 Corvette parts out there . He had probably one of the nicest complete 54 Corvette frames that I have seen . It was a complete rolling chassis with rear end and springs. Maybe you saw him ?

I did see a guy with a number of 53-55 parts, but I dont recall seeing a rolling chassis for a '54.

Hey VB, that was nice of you take the pictures and then posting them here!

My legs still hurt! The size of that swap meet was truly amazing! I had to have walked fifteen miles, easily that day.....

I passed up on a Harry Mann license plate frame, still kicking myself in the *** over...

I can't wait for next year, I'm going to get a room and spend a couple days next time!

Glad I made the trip

Maybe one of those scooters, too!

I walked for about 9 hours Wednesday and I didnt cover the whole swap. By Thursday my feet, knees, legs and ankles were sore and I had to go buy Band Aids for blisters! When I got home Sunday night I felt like i'd been in a 15 round fight.

All these years I thought Corvettes at Carlisle was the most physically demanding swap. Hershey beats it cleanly.

You should have bought the plate. I bought way too much that I didnt need.

I learned before that a significant amount of vendors leave Friday afternoon so theres a lot of holes on Saturday. I talked to a couple people who just came for Sat and they really did not see all the swap vendors.

A LOT of those scooters in action, too.

Yeah because we're old.

For those who have been it's hard to imagine how much there is to see.

Very

I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know of a big show in Hershey. You do mean Hershey PA, yes? Been to Carlisle often enough, including this year. That looks like a great time.

If you're from PA, you and I must be the last people from the state who've not been banned yet.

I'm originally from MA not PA.

And yes, Hershey PA. Its incredibly big, even bigger than Carlisle. I think its been going on about 40 years.

Vettebuyer did you happen to look over the two SW's that were for sale? What motors were in them and what was the overall condition of the cars? I see one was priced at $78,500.00 what was the price of the other one?

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I only saw one for sale in the car corral, although the other could have been in the swap area? I think I saw one in the swap spaces for a short period but didnt get a good look. I did not see the frame or birdcage.

The one I saw was the red one, priced at 78.5 marked down from 83 I think. If I remember right, the description on the glass said the car was an original 340 hp, but the entire time I saw it (see my pic) the car had the hood closed, so I couldnt see the engine compartment. The interior was pretty nice.

Im not sure if the paint was original (I dont think it was) but it was cracking severely in several places, and there were underlying body problems showing up. There was a serious body seam shadow showing over the LH headlight area and other spots were noticeable. I have no idea if the colors were right.

Looks like a great event. All these years going to Carlisle and I've never been. I've heard alot about it. Nice to see a variety of cars.

The Hershey Bears I did not know their rink was right in the middle of the event.
