Another Bogus 53?
This brings back memories (ie 53 #029)...this link is to a 53 for sale on ebay right now...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Co...m=151867502064
Check out the pics & note:
1) the car was registered last week!
2) the serial # tag cannot be real as EX-123 was assigned in 1957 to a 57 Chevrolet FI test passenger car that was scrapped in July 1957 (& I can get proof)
3) the Chev Flint Machinery tag was affixed to assembly machinery NOT vehicles (BTW, Zora's test car was #856 anyway)
4) wth does that watch have to do with anything?
5) where's all the fiberglass cloth mat (that should be everywhere on this car)?
Fair warning...

Amazing how nice, shiny, and new looking the vin tag and screws are compared to the rest of the car.

Thank goodness this is not the same guy who said he has #029 & 009 1953 Corvettes. He was giving Indiana. Bad Name with all his fake cars. That guy was giving the Corvette hobbie a bad name. Trust me he will be back with something else. We can only hope not.

First thing that caught my eye, besides all those other items mentioned already, was those pics when it was first found 20 years ago. It was pennant blue, they didn't have blue '53's.
btw he lost his eye sight? How the hell did he type his eBay ad?

There is a name and phone number listed so someone with knowledge should call Jay and ask the questions. I'd be interested in hearing what he had to say.

In the past week we've had "this is the condition and state of the car when I got it and that's all I know" and "I can't see". Two iron-clad methods of absolving oneself of any and all responsibility for the car in question. I also like the qualifier "I am not an expert, but..."

Good Bill, are you stirring up more S&*&( again?
Good to hear you're alive, well, and still at it!
It's about time for some more pizza and beer. Guess we'll see you in January at Sun-n-fun!
