Look at this Corvette on EBay pick out things that point to this corvette being messed with big time .
I picked some under hood and some on the outside.
I will chime in later

No chassis photos, engine pad or casting photos, no trim or vin plate photos - yeah, that will attract deep pocket buyers. The 17k miles was probably from when the instrument cluster was rebuilt. Oh yeah, KOs are not original - that's about all I know about 63s.

The view of the headlight bucket openings is not the best, but the corners look square, I think they should each have a radius. Incorrect fuel filter/gas line? Dennis

the others doesn't. The seats have had a lot of wear and pedals
console no vin pictures or under carriage picks . The engine compartment fresh painted etc., what a fake for sure. Plenty more stuff if we had more picks.
Heres a much better deal with Nom engine http://www.ebay.com/itm/291620435158?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I'm not very good at assessing cars from pictures. Seller does have a conflicting feedback history. They have sold very high dollar supercars with very satisfied customers but also have some recent neg feedback.

Looks like the dash pads have been out, the tabs should be white.
They got carried away with the hood blackout. I guess that's to be expected when a dealership does paint.

Gas filler neck is sitting off to the driver's side in the opening. Even I can center a tank. And I know that the factory could.

Half the stuff under the hood is wrong or missing...though I do love the yellowed original tie strap near the brake filler cap, contrasting nicely with the new, very white, repro tie strap sitting next to it...

My mom and dad totalled a new car in 1981 when it had 2,500 miles on it. I bought it from the insurance company and put a rear clip and roof on it, and we drove it for 5 years. Low miles doesn't mean much sometimes.

I agree this particular vehicle is FAR from showroom condition, correct underhood fittings, etc. $259K is AT LEAST 5-6 times too much.
(But "Any car with real shiny black tahrs MUST be GOOOD!")

Would like the see pictures of the repair orders plus any other docs that would substantiate the mileage. If you're gonna make that claim, you should be able to back it up.
