Default Your opinion of this C2

I am flying to go see a 1963 Corvette 327 4-speed convertible with matching engine number. It's being sold at auction.
It's all complete with almost no rust but not currently running. I would like to pick this one up for a decent price but I don't know what it's worth.
How much should I set my max bid?
How much would this Vette be worth if I did a frame off resto on it?

I'd guess it's worth $30,000 and will be worth $45,000 after spending another $30,000 on restoration.

Need more info and pictures before anyone can realistically give you any reasonable cost.

Here's one that's been for sale for a long time with no bites. Compare how much it would cost to bring your "project" to this level. That should give you a good idea what to bid.

That's some car enthusiast math there.

Zoomin is right, Most of those auctions have guys spending way more than the car is worth.

Does the world really need another clear coated over restored 63 convertible ? I'd make sure the frame is good first and if I bought it I'd clean it up and drive it.

If your looking to pickup it cheap, restore it, and put it through auction again and expect to make money, I wouldn't bother. Even Wayne carini loses money on his auction cars and he's in the business of doing this.

Plus, the hood is jacked, the headlight bucket is jacked, and something is sticking out down the passenger side.
