This is where I buy it. I know it is a bit pricey for someone only needing a few feet of it...but I bought it so I have every available thickness due to GM used it in other areas as well as your door glass.
This is why many people choose to urethane the glass in place....which I personally advise against doing that. The reason is I work on Corvettes where some 'Einstein' slapped a bunch of urethane or silicone in the tracks and it takes me darn near forever to get the urethane or silicone cleaned out of the track so I can do it ocrrectly. Especially when they do it to the pop out rear glass of a 1968-1972 Corvette.
The reason I also have every available thickness is when I do this service.... IF I have some of the original I can measure it and use that thickness first...and if it seems not to hold well.....I can go up to the next thickness.

Thanks for the input. I found the original tape at Corvette Central after my post. I ordered it
today.
I have another question about the master cylinder. I have 4 wheel stock disc brakes. It has a single master cylinder. I took it apart and found that it has a residual valve. Disc brakes do not have residual valves-- or do they?

I need to see a good photo of what you are referring to??? I assume you are a 1965 to 1967???? Manual or power brakes??? I am assuming that they are manual brakes. Because I assume is a single reservoir with only one brake line going to it.

Melting Slicks
I just removed some vent windows from the frame and measured the glass tape to be about .045" thick. I tried reusing it but its not tight enough. I'm replacing the glass with autocity glass. Measuring the tape that has not been compressed shows about .06" so I just ordered 1/16" thick tape from bob drake reproductions. $15 for 20'. The side window tape also measured .06" thickness. We'll see how it works out.

Window
If you have not done so, place a witness mark on the window and the window sash before you take it apart. You don't want to put it all together and find that the window has to be moved in the sash so the window aligns correctly and movers up and down without binding. I made that mistake and had to do it over again. Good luck. Jerry
