After Agreeing to buy the block from Scott for $5000. apparently someone else saw his response and phone number and offered him more money, and he sold it, without even giving me the opportunity to counter offer. (Scott's has since deleted his own post).
I was away on bussiness, and I told Scott I would send him a $1000. deposit within (2) days , after I returned home. And I would pick the Block up myself the following week. Scott said no problem the block is yours.
I think they both stink, Scott for backing out of the deal he agreed with. and whoever hijacked my thread and got in the middle of my deal.
Anyway, I still need a 3904351 Block. If you have one, please e-mail me at: rickb1@optonline.com.

If you want to start a bidding war, list it on e-bay, at least I will have the opportunity to increase my bid.

Going that this all true ( I have no reason to doubt you..)
Wow, that really SUCKS big time.. How sad you can't trust some members and I guess there are always bad apples in the bunch.. But I'm sure (and hope)this is just and anomoly... I think the moderator should "undelete" the message and if you got the name of the person that hijacked you, you should let us know.. It would kill 2 birds with one stone..
1) Don't deal with Scott ever!!!!
2) Don't deal with the hijacker..
I also think they should both be booted off the board forever..

I need a L66, A67 or B67 casting date for an early March car.
will consider other dates.
Must be a 2-bolt , it is for 427/390 car.
I have a JE code 4-bolt, 427/435 complete shortblock with a D67 casting date, standard bore, no vin stamped. I would be willing to trade for a bare 2-bolt block that I could use.

let me tell you about the other side of the coin....I had for sale on this board a set of L-88/ZL-1 flares, a C/F member said I WANT THEM!!...how much to send them to Guam?? I did plenty of homework finding the best (read CHEAPEST) way to send them...We agreed on a price and he sent a western union money order (at least he said he sent it, somehow I NEVER got it and sold the flares to someone else)....thats OVER a year ago!! I NEVER heard from him NOT ONE WORD! Until about a month ago when I posted yet another set of L-88 flares, care to guess who was the first to post I WANT THEM?? yes you guessed it the same C/F member that left me hanging a year ago....redvetracr

I emailed you privately of a 351 block that a friend has. I think the dates will work but you need to verify. Let us all know if this is successful. Usually things happen for a reason and I think you will end up with what you want. Good luck!
