I just bought a 68 convertible that has never been restored. I'd like to use 15x8 rally wheels. I think the 68's came with 15x7 wheels, but I really like the wider wheel.

Are there dimensional changes between 68 and 69 corvettes?

Will 15x8 inch wheels fit a stock 68 without rubbing?

Does anyone have any?

Yep, they fit. I did mine soon after the 69`s came out. There will be a small space between the beauty ring and the rim however when using the 15X8`s. But so what!

Is the small space because of the 1968 15x7 beauty rings on the 15x8 riim? If so, would using a 15x8 beauty rim eliminate the space?

No, the 4" beauty ring is the widest I found for my 15X8 rally wheels. The space is barely noticable and all the 15X8's have them. You could also by chrome rally wheels and eliminate the beauty ring altogether.

it will fit with either 225-70 or 245-60 tires, 255-60 may rub, maybe not.....

Yes, I have 4 8X15 rallies with 4 original (metal sombreros) center caps and 2 245-60 tires - don't know where you're located, I'm in Orlando FL ... I'd sell mine but will not ship... pick-up unly...you inspect the wheels first, then buy them or not... email if interessted
