i have the 4 speed tranny in my 79 vette with a 350, the problem is that i have the z bar( i got from ebay) and i tried to install it, but i dont have the piece that screws into the engine, does anyone have a picture of that piece or any ideas what i can use for it? thanks


also, i installed the motor with the tranny, i just put in the shifter but it wont shift into the gears, its like its stuck or something, i tried to push it in 1st, 2nd, 3,rd 4th, and reverse, and it wont go, a while ago when i installed my hurst shifter kit, it worked just fine, but now it just wont go, any ideas?

i believe, and i could be wrong (i'm sure if i am i will be corrected), if you don't have the linkage rod for second gear (or of the 3 rods the one in the middle) just right it will same the gears. you might have to re-adjust you linkages.
